Job summary

Mapbox is seeking a Head of Developer Relations to lead our developer relations strategy and grow a global Mapbox developer community. You will set the vision, coach a team, and partner with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure developers have the resources to adopt and build on Mapbox.

As a hands‑on leader, you will create technical content, deliver talks and demos, and represent Mapbox externally while driving scale through programs, partnerships, and community initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, or related technical field, including 3+ years leading or developing others.
• Strong people leadership skills with experience coaching, developing, and setting priorities for a team.
• Experience building and executing Developer Relations strategies and programs that translate product priorities into developer initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the Developer Relations strategy to grow engagement, adoption, and advocacy.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing Developer Relations team with clear priorities.
• Build and cultivate a developer community around Mapbox technology and use cases.
• Create technical content, talks, demos, and workshops to engage developers.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to align programs with company priorities.
• Synthesize developer feedback to improve product documentation and developer experience.
