Job summary

Enchanté Accessories seeks a Director of Design & Product Development to lead AI-driven innovation in design and packaging for major retail partners. This onsite role collaborates across design, sourcing, merchandising, and operations to turn ideas into commercially viable product lines from concept through production.

You will leverage AI tools to accelerate concept creation, trend analyses, and line reviews, while optimizing costs and speed to market across domestic and international suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience leading end-to-end product and packaging design.
• Proven track record in global sourcing and supplier management.
• Proficient with CAD, Photoshop and Illustrator for design execution.
• Strong understanding of retail environments (off-price, mass, e-commerce).
• Experience using AI tools for concept creation and presentations.
• Excellent communication, organization and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

Position Type: Full-Time / Onsite 5x a week

Salary Range: 160 – 180 K

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We're looking for a driven, solutions-oriented professional to lead design and product development with an AI-driven focus. This role works closely with design to conceptualize, develop, and bring innovative, cost-effective product lines to market for major retail partners, including off-price and mass channels. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, trend-heavy environment

Duties & Responsibilitis

• Lead end-to-end product development from design concept through production, leveraging AI-powered tools and technologies to accelerate innovation, improve decision-making, and drive speed-to-market
• Generate and develop new product concepts using AI-powered design tools, sketching platforms, visualization software, and emerging technologies to create innovative, commercially successful products
• Create compelling concept presentations, product pitches, trend analyses, and line reviews utilizing modern AI tools and workflows
• Identify market trends, consumer insights, and whitespace opportunities to develop innovative products for major retailers
• Drive product innovation by researching emerging trends, AI applications, technologies, and manufacturing capabilities to develop differentiated products and solutions
• Collaborate closely with design teams by clearly communicating product vision, functionality, materials, features, target costing requirements, and AI-generated concept direction
• Hand off approved concepts to the design team and oversee the development process from design execution through prototype creation, sample development, costing, testing, and final production approval.
• Work cross-functionally with sourcing, design, merchandising, sales, and operations teams to bring products to market efficiently and successfully
• Source and manage domestic and international manufacturing partners, with a strong focus on cost optimization, quality, compliance, and speed-to-market
• Identify new materials, construction methods, packaging innovations, and cost-saving opportunities across the global supply chains
• Review samples, provide detailed feedback, and ensure products meet design intent, quality standards, retailer requirements, and commercial objectives.
• Champion the adoption of AI-driven processes and tools to enhance product development workflows, improve productivity, and support continuous innovation.
• Perform related duties as assigned

• Experience in product and packaging design
• Experience in product development and global sourcing
• Proficient in Design Software, CAD, Photoshop & Illustrator
• Strong understanding of retail environments, including off-price, mass, and e-commerce channels
• Proficiency in AI tools for concept creation, presentations, and workflow efficiency
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Ex
• Experience working directly with overseas factories and vendors.
• Strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills
