Arc Boat Company is seeking a Director of Defense to build and lead a new defense organization from the ground up, reporting to the CTO at the Los Angeles HQ. You will own the strategy, team, and external presence to position Arc with the U.S.

military and allied partners across programs of record and emerging vessels. You'll establish the operating cadence, recruit top talent, and shape a durable defense business while collaborating with engineering, product, and operations to translate

Qualifications

• 10+ years of defense/aerospace/maritime hardware experience and 4+ years of leadership.
• Proven track record winning defense programs and leading capture.
• Established relationships with Navy/USMC/USCG/SOCOM or OSB offices.

Responsibilities

• Define Arc's Defense strategy across service branches with a multi-year roadmap.
• Build and lead the Defense organization including sales, business development, and program management.
• Establish operating cadence, forecasting, and pipeline discipline for a durable defense business.
• Serve as Arc's external face to the DoD, service branches, primes, and allied partners, building executive-level relationships.
• Lead capture strategy and execution for priority pursuits across defense procurement pathways.
• Map relevant programs to Arc's powertrain capabilities, including Golden Fleet.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Operations to translate warfighter needs into the product roadmap.
• Guide company strategy with market intelligence and represent Arc at industry forums and key stakeholders.
• Establish ITAR, CMMC, and clearance infrastructure for scaling defense business.
