Job summary

The University of Georgia in Athens seeks a Director of Information Services and Business Intelligence to lead the Risk and Resiliency Division's technology, data, and analytics initiatives.

This role reports to the Associate Vice President for Environmental Safety, Risk and Resiliency, ensuring reliable systems, usable data, sound technology practices, and clear information to support decision making and campus safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent and 8 years of professional experience.
• Experience with UGA Information and Data Systems.
• Knowledge of IT management, cybersecurity practices, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and carry out the Division's technology, data management, and business intelligence strategies.
• Establish data governance and reporting standards.
• Identify improvements using automation, AI, analytics, and data-informed solutions.
• Create performance measures, KPIs, dashboards, and reports for division and University leaders.
• Review emerging technologies and recommend practical solutions that improve efficiency, service, compliance, resilience, and campus safety.
• Guide the Division's use of artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, automation platforms, and business intelligence tools.
