Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Director of Enterprise Data & Analytics to own the data strategy end-to-end, govern data assets, and lead architecture, quality, and AI readiness across the organization. The role partners with business stakeholders to mature data capabilities and deliver implementable data solutions.

The position requires a driven leader with a track record in data governance, modern data warehouses, and cross-functional collaboration, ideally within regulated industries.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of data governance and lineage practices for regulatory/examiner review (GLBA, PCI DSS).
• Familiarity with DCAM, DAMA-DMBOK, or equivalent data management maturity framework.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across departments.
• Ability to run discovery interviews and translate findings into a funded data roadmap.
• Demonstrated experience authoring and implementing a data strategy/roadmap.
• Hands-on experience with modern data warehouses and integration tools (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse).
• Experience in payments or merchant services data and Salesforce data model/integration is a plus.
• Proven track record of moving from strategy to governance and actionable analytics.

Responsibilities

• Sets and owns the bank's overall data strategy and maturity roadmap.
• Builds relationships with stakeholders, translating business needs into the data roadmap.
• Establishes governance, stewardship, and lineage practices compliant with regulations.
• Evaluates and selects platforms, tools, and vendors to execute the strategy.
• Implements solutions from platform build-out to reporting.
• Drives toward a single source of truth for core entities across the bank.
• Advances from manual reporting to governed self-service dashboards.
• Ensures data foundation supports advanced analytics and AI readiness.
• Adheres to regulatory requirements and company policies.
