Job summary

Tripledot Studios is seeking a Director of Data Science to build and lead its data science department, focusing on player engagement, monetization, and retention through strategic data insights and cross‑functional collaboration.

The role involves designing a data science roadmap, developing predictive models, and driving data-driven decision making across product, marketing, and engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in data science, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role
• Strong knowledge of machine learning, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics
• Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or R
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus
• Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks and experimentation methodologies
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations
• Passion for gaming and understanding of mobile game KPIs such as DAU, retention, ARPU, LTV, and churn

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the data science roadmap, aligning with business objectives
• Develop models and algorithms to analyze player behavior, predict churn, and optimize in‑game experiences
• Use data-driven techniques to enhance monetization strategies and improve player retention
• Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests to evaluate game features and marketing strategies
• Collaborate with engineering teams to establish robust data pipelines and infrastructure
• Work cross‑functionally with product managers, game designers, and marketing teams to integrate data-driven decision‑making
• Develop dashboards and reports to communicate key insights to leadership
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in data science, gaming analytics, and machine learning
