Job summary

Walmart Connect in Bentonville, AR seeks a Director of Data Science – Decision Science & Operational Modeling to build and own statistical modeling engines that guide commercial operations and business strategy, including forecasting ad delivery and inventory pacing.

You will lead a team of data scientists, translate business needs into scalable data solutions, and collaborate across the organization to drive growth and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data science and analytical modeling.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Java for development, testing, and deployment.
• Strong data governance, data quality, and data strategy knowledge.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Leadership experience to mentor teams and drive projects.

Responsibilities

• Architect Multi-Tier Hierarchical Forecasting models across ad delivery metrics.
• Build prescriptive market-sizing and growth models based on benchmarks and category data.
• Develop advanced behavioral segmentation using machine-learning clustering.
• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists.
