Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a technical field.
• 10+ years of progressive data engineering experience.
• Hands-on engineering leader who remains technically active.
• Deep Snowflake expertise including architecture, performance, and security.
• Extensive dbt experience including modeling, testing, and CI/CD.
• Hands-on Azure Data Factory experience for data pipelines.
• Advanced SQL and Python for pipeline development.
• Strong communication and leadership for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, cost governance, and security.
• Lead dbt end-to-end development, conventions, and CI/CD practices.
• Architect layered modeling (staging → intermediate → marts) for self-service.
• Review dbt PRs and guide SQL, modeling decisions, and testing.
• Lead Azure data pipelines and ensure reliable data movement with SLAs.
• Define the technical roadmap and manage platform reliability and governance.
• Mentor data engineers and drive hiring, onboarding, and career growth.
• Partner with Analytics, Product, and Operations to translate needs into scalable data solutions.
