Job summary

Synopsys is seeking a data engineering leader to build and scale an enterprise data platform. You will mentor architects, analytics engineers, and data engineers, translating business needs into strategic technology solutions.

The role requires 10+ years in data disciplines, 5+ years of people leadership, and deep expertise in Snowflake, dbt, SQL, Power BI, and Fivetran. You will drive governance, architecture, and scalable analytics capabilities across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of people management experience leading technical teams.
• Hands-on expertise with Snowflake, dbt, SQL, Power BI, Fivetran.
• Deep understanding of Data architecture, ELT/ETL pipelines, data modeling, data quality, scalability.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data architects, analytics engineers, and data engineers responsible for Synopsys' enterprise data platform.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize and roadmap data and analytics capabilities.
• Drive platform enhancements, operational support, debt reduction, and new project delivery.
• Oversee delivery of data engineering projects from planning through production support.
• Define and enforce standards for data architecture, data modeling, data quality, governance, and platform operations.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data architects, analytics engineers, and data engineers responsible for Synopsys' enterprise data platform.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, align priorities, and develop a strategic roadmap for data and analytics capabilities.
• Prioritize team efforts across platform enhancements, operational support, technical debt reduction, and new project delivery.
• Drive the successful delivery of data engineering projects from planning and design through implementation and production support.
• Define and enforce standards for data architecture, data modeling, data quality, governance, documentation, and platform operations.
• Establish strong delivery management practices including resource planning, execution tracking, stakeholder communication, and risk management.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable data architectures, ELT pipelines, and enterprise analytics platforms.
• Ensure the reliability, availability, scalability, security, and performance of enterprise data platforms.
• Collaborate across engineering, analytics, product, and business teams to enable effective data-driven decision making.
• Promote modern data engineering best practices and continuous process improvement across the organization.
