Overview

Confero has partnered with a B2B SaaS vendor redefining IT asset management for globally distributed teams. They are Series A funded and growing rapidly. The CTO is seeking a visionary and hands-on Director of Cyber Security to build and scale the company’s security strategy in a fast-paced startup environment. You will take ownership of the entire security posture, establishing the frameworks, processes, and culture necessary to scale securely.

Location: New York, NY. Hybrid work arrangement (3 days onsite). We are unable to sponsor any visas at this time.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the security strategy and execution across the organization, including frameworks, processes, and culture needed to scale securely.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve security controls aligned with business objectives and risk tolerance.
• Lead security-related architecture decisions and collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate security into all business flows.
• Manage security operations, incident response, and compliance readiness for frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR as applicable.
• Oversee identity and access management, data protection, and device security strategies (including EDR and MDM) to safeguard assets and data.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise with endpoint detection and response (EDR) platforms, specifically CrowdStrike Falcon.
• Proven track record designing and managing Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
• Experience designing and managing SSO/SAML integrations.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, or GDPR.
