Job summary

Qualifications include a Master’s degree and New Jersey state certificates; strong English communication; and 3–5 years of leadership in CTE or school administration.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and state principal/administrator certifications are required.
• Three to five years of experience teaching and supervising CTE personnel.
• Three to five years of experience working as a Principal (Preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication in English; ASL or Braille acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Sets policy, organization, and duties of departmental staff.
• Initiates short- and long-range planning.
• Recommends curriculum and program development and implementation.
• Researches education trends, resources, and materials.
• Maintains liaison with school administrators, teachers, students, business, and community groups.
• Promotes positive climate through public relations.
• Recommends appointment and assignment of supervisors and staff.
• Supervises, maintains records, and evaluates programs.
• Prepares reports for central office and external agencies.
