**Responsibilities**

Ascension is seeking a Director of CRM Market Engagement & Activation to lead the strategy and execution of digital, direct-to-consumer (DTC) CRM campaigns that support ministry market priorities. This role will serve as the bridge between market-specific goals and centralized CRM strategies—ensuring messaging, content, and campaigns are aligned, effective, and personalized across digital and offline channels.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, strong healthcare marketing experience, and a passion for AI-enabled innovation, performance measurement, and consumer-first strategy. This role will support patient acquisition and retention while advancing scalable CRM activation across the system.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  1. Ministry Market CRM Engagement: Serve as the strategic CRM partner for ministry markets, translating local needs into coordinated, high-impact CRM campaigns that drive measurable outcomes across service lines and patient journeys.
  2. Digital-First, DTC Campaign Planning: Lead the development of consumer-facing CRM strategies across digital channels—including email, SMS, and direct mail—prioritizing awareness, lead generation, and appointment conversion based on market demand signals.
  3. Content & Messaging Alignment: Oversee alignment of campaign content and messaging to both brand standards and market-specific needs. Collaborate closely with creative and production teams to ensure market personalization, design consistency, and relevance.
  4. Physician Promotion & Local Initiatives: Manage campaign strategy and activation support for physician marketing and community-based initiatives, including preventive and referral journey work.
  5. AI & Journey Innovation: Support the evolution of CRM capabilities, including AI-driven content relevance, behavior-based triggers, and next-gen personalization to scale patient engagement.
  6. Salesforce Marketing Cloud Leadership: Act as a power user and strategist within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, guiding end-to-end CRM campaign planning, journey development, and performance optimization. Strong proficiency is essential.
  7. Performance Tracking & Marketing Science Partnership: Collaborate with the Ascension Marketing Science team to measure campaign performance and ROI across markets. Lead optimization efforts, test-and-learn strategies, and accountability to KPIs (conversion, engagement, growth).
  8. Cross-Functional CRM Coordination: Collaborate closely with teams across lifecycle marketing, CRM operations, Direct Mail, and other internal groups to ensure cohesive and timely execution of campaigns across all CRM channels.

**Requirements**

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.

**Additional Preferences**

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; Master’s or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 6–8+ years of CRM and digital marketing experience with a strong focus on DTC or healthcare consumer engagement.
    • Prior experience working with regional or market-based marketing teams.
    • Proven success in executing physician-focused and preventive health campaigns.
    • Strong track record in digital campaign performance and measurement.
  • Technical & Strategic Skills:
    • High proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, Audience segmentation, etc.)
    • Experience leading digital CRM strategy and execution across email, SMS, and direct mail channels.
    • Knowledge of consumer research, segmentation, and targeting best practices.
    • Familiarity with AI and data-driven personalization tools and frameworks.
    • Excellent collaboration, leadership, and communication skills. Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable strategy.
