Job summary

A healthcare recruitment firm is seeking a qualified Director of Critical Care to lead critical care units in Texas. The ideal candidate will have solid ICU and management experience alongside a BSN or related degree. The role involves managing various healthcare units, ensuring high-quality patient care, and offering significant growth potential within a major hospital system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing BSN or related Bachelors Degree with Masters preferred.
• Current Texas or Compact State RN license.
• Minimum of three (3) years clinical and two (2) years management experience preferred.
• Individual with at least 5 years’ experience as a Director.

Responsibilities

• Manage a 16-bed ICU unit, a 31-bed telemetry unit, and a hemodialysis unit.
• Function in the clinical role at times in SDU and ICU.
• Function in clinical role in SDU/ICU as needed

They have engaged our firm to help them find a superstar Director to lead their growing Critical care.

The Director will manage a 16‑bed ICU unit, a 31‑bed telemetry unit, and a hemodialysis unit. There is a supervisor for the ICU and SDU. We utilize Meditech for our EMR. The Director must be able to function in the clinical role at times in SDU and ICU.

Skills / Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing BSN or related Bachelors Degree with Masters preferred
• Current Texas or Compact State RN license. A minimum of three (3) years clinical and two (2) years management experience preferred. Current BLS certification required.
• Individual with at least 5 years’ experience as a Director.
• Must have ICU experience.
