The Director will provide strategic and operational leadership for the medical-surgical inpatient unit and ICU, supporting high-quality acute and critical care services. This role offers broad clinical exposure, including complex inpatient needs, care coordination, rapid response, patient flow, quality improvement, and intensive care operations. Reporting to a senior hospital executive, the Director of Acute and Critical Care Services will receive organizational support while maintaining responsibility for staffing, budgets, regulatory readiness, patient safety, quality outcomes, employee engagement, and daily department performance. The Director will mentor friendly nurses, strengthen retention and professional development, promote evidence-based practice, and partner with a diverse team of physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals. This leader will also foster open communication, accountability, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a positive culture across Med/Surg and ICU services.
