Job summary

Meow Wolf is seeking a Director of Facilities & Exhibition to lead site maintenance, safety and enhancements across the Denver complex. You will develop CAPEX budgets, manage maintenance programs, and collaborate with artists, designers, and operations to preserve immersive experiences.

The role requires senior leadership, budget oversight, and strong vendor management, with a focus on delivering high-quality guest experiences while optimizing costs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in themed entertainment, museum/exhibit, or attraction operations.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Manager and/or Facilities Director.
• Degree in Engineering, Technology or other relevant fields preferred.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Projects.
• Team leadership and performance management experience.
• Project management, development and delivery experience.
• Budget development and adherence.
• Contract negotiation experience.
• Experience managing multiple priorities.
• Policy, procedure, protocol development and enforcement.
• Strong analytical/critical thinking abilities.
• OSHA/site management knowledge and best practices.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages preferred.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certification (may be obtained after hiring).
• Willingness to learn and adaptability.
• Willing to work outside the comfort zone to assist guests or team members.
• Strong interpersonal skills; team player and collaborator.
• Customer service mindset and active listening.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all building systems including mechanical, electrical, and fire life safety.
• Coordinate IT with IDS and ACS systems oversight.
• Manage facility/exhibition maintenance teams and schedules.
• Develop and manage CAPEX budgets; preventive maintenance programs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and building codes.
• Lead negotiations with vendors and purchases to company standards.
• Provide input on inventory and materials; manage essential assets.
• Partner with design/ops teams on pre-opening procedures.
• Work with GM to develop and manage Capex budgets.
