Director of Corporate Giving & Professional Societies

$80K-$90K (DOE)

Delta Dallas is partnering with a well-established, mission-driven organization in Dallas to identify a Director of Corporate Giving & Professional Societies. This is a highly relationship-driven role focused on donor development, corporate partnerships, professional networks, and philanthropic engagement.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong business development, consultative sales, fundraising, or relationship management background and be comfortable building relationships, managing a portfolio, asking for financial support, and representing an organization with professionalism and confidence.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is proactive, polished, highly organized, and motivated by both relationships and results.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of donors and professional contacts, with responsibility for engagement, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, professional societies, and community leaders.
  • Develop and secure corporate sponsorships and philanthropic partnerships.
  • Conduct regular in-person and virtual meetings with donors, corporate partners, and prospective supporters.
  • Identify new relationship and revenue opportunities through networking, research, referrals, and community involvement.
  • Develop compelling proposals and presentations and confidently communicate opportunities for financial support.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with donors and corporate partners, ensuring timely and professional communication.
  • Engage professional affinity groups and societies to expand the organization’s network and philanthropic reach.
  • Support fundraising campaigns and initiatives, including donor outreach and solicitation efforts.
  • Partner with internal teams on events and professional programs, with a focus on driving donor and prospect attendance and engagement.
  • Collaborate with volunteer leaders and community members to strengthen relationships and expand fundraising opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records, activity, and relationship information within the organization’s CRM.
  • Track activity and performance against established fundraising and relationship-management goals.
  • Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and occasional evening or weekend engagements.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3–5+ years of experience operating at a director-level or similar level of responsibility in fundraising, business development, consultative sales, relationship management, corporate partnerships, client services, or a related field.
  • A proven ability to build relationships and develop business or financial commitments.
  • Comfortable initiating conversations, networking, asking for support, and moving relationships forward.
  • Strong business acumen and an understanding of professional corporate environments.
  • Excellent follow-through, responsiveness, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Polished communication skills and the ability to represent an organization confidently with executives, corporate partners, donors, and community leaders.
  • Self-directed and proactive with the ability to manage a portfolio and priorities independently.
  • Comfortable working toward measurable goals and KPIs.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience working with a CRM.
  • Experience with fundraising or within a nonprofit, association, membership organization, or community-focused environment is helpful but not required.
The Right Person

The right candidate is a relationship builder and self-starter who enjoys being out in the community and creating opportunities rather than waiting for them to come in. You should be comfortable managing a pipeline or portfolio, working toward measurable goals, and having conversations that lead to financial commitments.

A background in consultative sales, business development, professional services, financial services, insurance, corporate partnerships, sponsorships, membership sales, or fundraising could translate very well into this position.

Professionalism and executive presence are important. This person will regularly interact with corporate leaders, donors, volunteers, and community partners and should be comfortable representing an organization in those settings.

Schedule & Compensation
  • Full-time
  • Local travel for donor, corporate, and community meetings
  • Occasional evening and weekend commitments
Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a meaningful portfolio and have a direct impact on the organization’s philanthropic growth. The role offers significant visibility, relationship-building opportunities, and the ability to leverage strong business development or fundraising skills in a mission-driven environment.
