Base Salary: Starting at $150,000 + Bonus

Overview

A fast-scaling fintech company is hiring a Director of Content & Communications to lead its content and messaging engine from the ground up. This role is not about content volume — it’s about brand precision, leadership alignment, and turning strategic insight into market credibility.

Reporting directly to the CMO, this role is ideal for someone who brings executive polish, a strategic editorial mindset, and the ability to create systems that scale. You’ll help shape the company’s voice in the market while building an editorial engine that supports business growth, advisor relationships, and sector leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and own a long-term content roadmap aligned with leadership vision and growth strategy
  • Lead weekly editorial and leadership “listening sessions” to capture insights and translate them into content
  • Serve as the final editorial gatekeeper across all external platforms (blog, email, reports, campaigns)
  • Guide creative execution in partnership with the internal team and external contributors
  • Launch signature content initiatives (e.g., sector trend reports, executive POV series)
  • Ensure messaging alignment across marketing, sales, and partnership efforts
  • Leverage AI as a strategic co-creator — not for automation, but for refinement, velocity, and scale

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in editorial strategy, content leadership, or executive communications

  • Experience building content systems or editorial functions from scratch
  • Fintech, lending, B2B services, or high-growth industry background strongly preferred
  • Excellent writing, editing, and messaging instincts — able to guide voice across platforms
  • High emotional intelligence and strong stakeholder management skills
