Job description

Loveland, CO (headquarters-based) | $150,000 – $175,000 + bonus | Direct Hire

Our client is a family-owned construction manager and general contractor building multifamily, build-to-rent, townhome, and retail projects across Northern Colorado and the Front Range. Founded in 2018, they've grown fast — BTR and townhome communities in Greeley, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs, plus a steady run of retail work including multiple 7-Eleven builds and Starbucks.

This is a build-it role, not a maintain-it role. The person who takes it won't run one project — they'll own construction across the entire company. You report directly to ownership with no layers in between, and you build the systems, standards, and project-management bench the company runs on as it scales.

What You'll Own
Operations across the organization
  • Productivity, schedule, cost, and quality on every active project — you're the senior point of accountability to ownership and to clients.
  • Subcontractor buyout, selection, and performance. The majority of the work is delivered through trade partners, so managing buyout and holding subs to schedule and standard is the core of the job.
  • Clearing the obstacles the field can't resolve on its own.
The team
  • Lead and develop the project management and field organization — PMs, superintendents, project engineers.
  • You'll start with a small group that needs a leader to take them to the next level, and you'll build the bench as new projects start.
  • Input on hiring and staffing decisions alongside ownership, with direct personnel authority expanding over time.
Systems and technology
  • Standardize Procore-based workflows across all projects — reporting, documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders.
  • Use DroneDeploy (and 360° unit walkthroughs coming online) for remote progress verification and quality oversight.
  • Establish the operating rhythms and reporting cadence that give ownership reliable, near-real-time visibility on schedule, cost, quality, and risk.
Preconstruction support
  • Contribute to estimating and competitive bidding as they build out bidding capacity — a meaningful part of how this company grows.
What Our Client Is Looking For
  • 7+ years in construction operations, project management, or operations leadership with a CM/GC — including managing subcontractors and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Proven track record on subcontractor buyout, schedule, budget, and quality. Multifamily, build-to-rent, and townhome experience lines up best with what they build; ground-up retail experience is a strong complement.
  • Experience leading multiple projects and teams at once, across both small and large jobs.
  • Procore proficiency (or a comparable platform) and real comfort running an operation through technology and remote reporting.
  • Leadership presence that earns the respect of experienced superintendents and subcontractors.
  • Preconstruction and estimating capability.
  • Experience building or scaling a project-management organization.
  • Multi-market or geographic-expansion experience.
What Success Looks Like in the First Year
  • Schedule and quality: projects tracking to or ahead of schedule with proactive recovery on slippage, and consistent quality standards enforced across the portfolio.
  • Systems: standardized Procore workflows actually adopted by the teams — not just documented. A reliable, accurate reporting cadence to ownership.
  • Team: the PM organization stable, supported, and stronger than you found it. Ready to staff new project starts.
Compensation
  • Base salary: $150,000 – $175,000, depending on experience
  • Bonus: performance-based structure
  • Vehicle allowance
  • Paid lodging for project travel
