Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a seasoned leader to direct and lead the execution of a portfolio of utility-scale solar projects in the United States. You will ensure delivery against safety, schedule, cost and quality commitments while providing strategic oversight on contracting strategy, subcontractor and self-perform execution models, and risk management.

Qualifications

  • Construction experience leading and building teams.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with varying scopes and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Proficiency with project management software.
  • Strong financial acumen with budget development and cost control.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Prior experience in utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects.
  • Experience managing teams of subcontractors and owner relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • PMP, CCM, or equivalent certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Propose and implement innovative strategies to improve project delivery and operational efficiency.

Job description

  • Direct and lead execution of a portfolio of utility-scale solar projects
  • Ensure delivery against safety, schedule, cost, and quality commitments
  • Provide strategic oversight on contracting strategy, subcontractor and self-perform execution models, schedule risk management, and critical-path mitigation
  • Lead, develop, mentor, and empower direct reports using PBM frameworks
  • Foster safety, environmental stewardship, accountability, continuous improvement, and quality excellence
  • Support budget development and monitor project expenditures
  • Mitigate operational risks and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide leadership and stakeholders with regular updates on project performance, risks, challenges, and opportunities
  • Monitor industry trends, technologies, and best practices
  • Propose and implement innovative strategies to improve project delivery and operational efficiency
  • Travel approximately 50% to project sites and the DEPCOM office as needed
