Job summary

Luminace is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Solar-DG and battery storage initiatives in the United States. The role covers all project phases from planning through turnover to operation, ensuring safety, schedule, cost, and quality objectives are met.

The ideal candidate brings five or more years of project management experience, strong leadership, and exceptional communication skills. Regular travel and collaboration with customers, investors, and authorities are expected.

Qualifications

  • Requires undergraduate degree or equivalent; strong PM experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
  • Frequent overnight travel (>25%), may include auto, air, rail travel.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with strict timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for all stages of Solar-DG and/or Battery Storage projects.
  • Develop and review project schedules, cost estimates, budgets, scopes, and subcontract documents.

  • Control project scope, schedule, and budget, and ensure turnover to O&M.

Job description

  • Overall responsibility for all stages of Solar-DG and or Battery Storage projects
  • Develop and review project schedules, cost estimates, bill of materials, budgets, scopes of work, and subcontract documents
  • Supervise project implementation to ensure safety, cost, time, quality and performance objectives are achieved
  • Competent / experienced in contract negotiations
  • Manage project resources (internal and external) and ensure professional project management through engineering, procurement, construction, start-up, commissioning and testing and project turnover to O&M.
  • Represent project towards external parties such as customers, investors, grid operator and others
  • Responsibility and accountability for controlling project scope, schedule and budget
Knowledge:
  • Understanding of project management and project controls in an engineering and construction environment.
  • Good understanding of engineering and construction documents and processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering and construction methodology and the associated financial aspects
  • Demonstrated understanding of cost estimating, scheduling, and budget projections
Skills/Abilities:
  • Professional attitude and presentation while representing the company.
  • Independently has overseen multi-million-dollar projects
  • Extensive work experience in management and completion of large-scale projects
  • Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions, and manage stakeholder expectations.

  • Experience in all fiscal aspects of project management.

  • Ability to use software for project scheduling and tracking and other PC software applications commonly used for project management. Advanced knowledge in Microsoft office tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of solar-DG and or battery storage projects
  • Demonstrated ability in managing projects: development, planning, installation, and execution
  • Experience in handling high stress situations where tact and cooperation are crucial to cost-effective operation.
  • Advanced understanding of internal sales process for both government and private sector opportunities.
  • Advanced understanding of the technical, financial, and contractual aspects of the Distributed Generation business.
  • Ability to work well with Business Development Managers and Engineers in the sales process to ensure success and fluent integration toward executed contracts for the Company
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction practices in solar retrofit / renovation applications obtained through demonstrated experience.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or working knowledge of Project Management Body of Knowledge
