Greystar's Director of Compliance role, based in Charleston, SC, partners with Legal, Investor Relations, Accounting, Investments, and Portfolio Management to ensure regulatory standards across private funds and real estate platforms. You will monitor developments, draft policies, and keep the program practical and well-documented.

The position emphasizes leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and ongoing training to strengthen the firm's compliance program in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree/cert a plus.
• 7+ years of relevant compliance or regulatory experience.
• Series 7, 24, and/or 82 licenses a plus, or willingness to obtain within a defined period.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills; translate complex regulatory requirements into practical guidance.
• Self-starter with organizational and managerial skills; ability to drive results under ambiguity.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with compliance recordkeeping systems is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Administer and continuously improve the firm's written compliance policies and procedures.
• Monitor regulatory developments from the SEC, FINRA, and other regulators; assess impact on programs.
• Draft compliance memoranda documenting regulatory analysis and rationale.
• Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve efficiency of compliance workstreams.
• Review and approve marketing materials, including performance presentations and case studies.
• Support annual compliance review process under Rule 206(4)-7, including testing.
• Assist with preparation and filing of Form ADV, Form PF, Form D, and other filings.
• Administer personal trading, gifts and entertainment, political contributions, and outside business activity policies.
• Coordinate responses to regulatory examinations.
• Develop and deliver firm-wide compliance training.
• Maintain and oversee books and records program.
• Track and manage compliance calendars, deadlines, and action items.
