Job summary

Brooklyn Community Services (BCS) seeks a Director of Compliance to lead and manage a comprehensive compliance program, including Medicaid compliance. You will partner with program and administrative leaders to design, implement, and maintain policies, tools, and training while reporting to the CEO and, quarterly, to the Board Audit and Finance Committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field; seven+ years compliance/risk experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience writing policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Direct experience with New York Medicaid compliance and human-services requirements.
• Experience building compliance systems where processes were incomplete or absent.
• Ability to coordinate audits, investigations, and corrective actions with Finance and program teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program including Medicaid compliance.
• Lead the compliance committee and publish annual work plans, calendars, and policy inventories.
• Monitor and coordinate regulatory, licensing, and reporting obligations across programs/sites.
• Conduct risk-based reviews of service documentation, billing support, eligibility, and related areas.
• Establish confidential reporting channels and oversee investigations and corrective actions.
• Provide concise reports to CEO and Board committees on findings and actions.
