Job summary

Citizen Advocates’ Director of Community Operations will lead the CO department, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure safe, high-quality care in alignment with OPWDD, OMH, and OASAS policies. The role reports to senior leaders and oversees CO services, including community living operations and housing expansion planning.

The position requires 7+ years in healthcare and 5+ years of supervisory experience, with a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred).

Qualifications

• 7+ years of healthcare experience.
• 5+ years supervisory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Full-time schedule: Mon–Fri, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
• Travel up to 50% of job time.

Responsibilities

• Leads CO department to maximize efficiency and profitability.
• Oversees two Associate Directors and housing expansion plans.
• On-call 24/7 to support residents and address incidents.
• Ensure compliance with OPWDD, OMH and OASAS policies.
• Analyze CO data; present analytics to leadership.
• Develop and manage CO budgets and plans.
• Drive quality improvement through staff involvement and project management.
