Steinman Communications in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Director of Community Impact & Grantmaking to lead initiatives across education, environment, and community development. This role works with The Steinman Foundation, Lancaster County STEM Alliance, and Little Conestoga Creek Foundation to drive lasting community impact.

The position requires 5+ years of leadership in philanthropy or nonprofit management, with strong grantmaking, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in philanthropy, nonprofit management, or related fields.
• Experience in grantmaking, program management, or community initiatives.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to measure impact.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and community-centered philanthropy.

Responsibilities

• Shape and implement program strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
• Identify emerging opportunities through research and environmental scanning.
• Provide thought leadership to ensure initiatives remain innovative and impactful.
• Lead end-to-end grantmaking processes, including evaluation and reporting.
• Translate data and research into actionable insights and compelling impact stories.
• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities.
• Build trusted relationships with nonprofits, educators, donors, civic leaders, and community stakeholders.
• Support fundraising efforts, including donor cultivation and campaign strategies.
• Represent the organizations within the community and at key events as a trusted partner and ambassador.
• Prepare and present strategic updates to boards and committees through reports and presentations.
• Serve as a key liaison across stakeholders, ensuring alignment and follow-through.
• Oversee program operations, budgets, and systems.
• Supervise staff, consultants, and interns as needed.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
