Job summary

Archdiocese of Seattle seeks a Director of Communications to lead the development and execution of our digital and traditional communications strategy. You will guide a team of professionals and collaborate across offices to evangelize, inform and educate parishes, schools and archdiocesan ministries.

You will manage content across website, social media and email, ensuring branding and quality while measuring impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing or a related field.
• 12–15 years in communications/marketing strategy and execution.
• 5+ years in director-level role leading teams and strategy.
• 10+ years in digital and print media including website and social media management.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with ability to present and report.
• Proven ability to develop, execute and measure strategic campaigns.
• Demonstrated ability to lead staff and collaborate across teams.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Experience with data tracking, measurement and learning.
• Experience with content production, writing promotional copy and editing websites.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of Archdiocesan communications strategy across digital channels.
• Oversee website, social media, email and video production and ensure consistency with branding.
• Supervise Communications staff including project managers and specialists.
• Develop annual and quarterly content plans aligned with mission and Bishop guidance.
• Oversee data tracking and reporting to improve campaigns.
• Collaborate with other offices to share best practices for evangelization.
• Support Archbishop and Chancery with digital marketing needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
