Job summary

Calhoun Community College seeks an Executive Director of Professional and Academic Excellence to lead college-wide professional development, establish structured programs, and promote data-driven teaching and learning improvements. You will collaborate with Academic Affairs, HR, and administrators to enhance student achievement and institutional effectiveness.

The role oversees development initiatives, faculty training for online standards, and annual events, with a salary range based on ACCS

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Five (5) years’ experience in teaching or instruction at the postsecondary level is required.
• Documented experience with student learning outcomes assessment is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coordination, and planning for professional development for faculty and staff.
• Coordinate with Academic Affairs and Human Resources to establish, implement, and conduct a structured professional development program.
• Develop, implement, and conduct a leadership development program for college employees.
• Train and consult with faculty on writing program student learning outcomes, selecting measures, interpreting results, and developing improvement plans.
• Review annual program assessment reports and provide feedback to program leads, department chairs, and deans.
• Collaborate with Academic Affairs to coordinate college-wide teaching and learning initiatives based on best practices and accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with various units across campus to identify professional development for staff.
• Work with Dual Enrollment Director to provide orientation, training, and evaluation of dual enrollment faculty.
• Guide new faculty in building a teaching portfolio for tenure consideration.
• Coordinate faculty training for online course quality standards and instructional technology.
• Assist with processes for general education student learning outcomes and administrative outcomes as needed.
• Coordinate annual faculty and staff development events and recognition programs.
• Develop and maintain systems for tracking, evaluating, and reporting professional development participation and effectiveness.
• Maintain a repository of faculty and staff resources.
• Supervise assigned staff and evaluate performance accordingly.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Dean of Institutional Effectiveness.
