Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Director of Software Engineering for Prisma Access. You will lead architecture and deployment of core network data path services across multi‑cloud environments (AWS, GCP, OCI) at massive scale, building a resilient cloud‑native platform.

You will drive an engineering organization focused on high‑performing networking, SRE practices, and cross‑functional collaboration with security and product teams to align with enterprise business goals.

Qualifications

15+ years in cybersecurity and cloud networking.
3+ years leading carrier/enterprise network product teams.
Expertise in IPSec and routing protocols.
Experience with SASE technologies like Zero Trust Network Access and SD‑WAN.
1+ years AI transformation in Engineering using Agentic AI workflows.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow large distributed engineering teams responsible for core cloud networking and data path infrastructure.
Architect and scale multi‑cloud environments (AWS, GCP, OCI) using Kubernetes, Terraform, and Istio.
Ensure SLA/SLO adherence and best practices for uptime, DR, capacity planning, and incident response.
Oversee CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and alerting for cloud workloads.
Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Security, and Support to define roadmaps and release predictability.
