Job summary

Tiny Health is seeking a Director of Clinical Research to lead the strategy, execution, and growth of our clinical studies supporting product validation and regulatory credibility in microbiome testing.

You will build scalable research infrastructure, define study endpoints, manage timelines and budgets, and partner with Bioinformatics, Engineering, Product, and Marketing to translate findings into measurable, defensible product claims.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, MS/MPH, or equivalent in life sciences or related field.
• 6+ years of clinical research experience in biotech, diagnostics, digital health, or academia.
• Proven ability to design and execute human clinical studies.
• Hands-on IRB submissions and human subjects oversight experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing external partners.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience operating in ambiguity and building scalable systems in early-stage environments.
• Preferred: regulatory submission support experience.

Responsibilities

• Co-own the clinical evidence roadmap with the Head of Science.
• Define study objectives, endpoints, and success criteria aligned with product/regulatory goals.
• Build scalable clinical research processes as the company grows.
• Oversee observational, interventional, and real-world evidence studies.
• Manage study timelines, budgets, risks, and regulatory docs.
• Collaborate with Bioinformatics, Engineering, Product, and Marketing to translate findings into defensible claims.
• Lead study reporting, abstracts, and peer-reviewed manuscripts.
