North Shore Healthcare is seeking a reimbursement services leader to direct activities within a designated region. The role emphasizes analysis, strategy and process improvement to optimize financial and clinical outcomes.

You will collaborate with MDS professionals to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence. The ideal candidate has RN licensure with progressive leadership experience, knowledge of RAI regulations and strong communication skills.

Summary of position

Responsible for providing leadership, coordination and performance of activities relating to reimbursement services within a designated region/area. Through analysis of financial and clinical reports, identifies trends and areas of improvement for the facilities within the region/area and ensures an appropriate action plan is completed. Works directly with various center MDS professionals to develops strategies, implements processes and protocols. Provides expertise, consultation and guidance to ensure MDS accuracy and adherence to company policy and procedures as well as state and federal regulations and guidelines.

Requirements of the position

Required Education and Experience

• Graduate of accredited school of Nursing or other Allied Health Care Institution (or equivalent combination of experience and education)
• Current licensed Registered Nurse (or Allied Health Care Professional in state of residence)
• At least three years of experience with progressive responsibility
• In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations (clinical and financial as it relates to RAI process and reimbursement systems)
• Experience and knowledge of revenue, expenses, contribution and operating margins
• Ability to Travel
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft products
• Demonstrated leadership competency
• Polished communication and presentation skills

Preferred Education and Experience

• BSN (or other Allied Health Care degree)
• Clinical responsibility in multi-center, long-term care organization
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Post-acute care or health care experience preferred
