Position Overview:

The Director of Client Operations is instrumental to the growth and future development of Valeo as this role is focused on establishing critical policies and procedures that enable us to optimize the client experience. The ideal candidate will have robust leadership experience, be highly collaborative, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities with positive results.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the direct supervisor for the Client Operations team, which includes managing daily staffing levels, providing regular coaching and feedback, and making merit/promotional recommendations in accordance with our standard calendar.
  • Serve as the internal expert on core client operations policies and procedures and assist employees with basic troubleshooting/problem-solving as needed to resolve client requests.
  • Serve as the hiring manager for all Client Operations positions.
  • Serve as the SME for all training related to custodial processing, money movement, and client transitions.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate software and processes associated with new client onboarding, money movement, and account maintenance.
  • Interact with clients and advisors regularly to collect feedback and ensure their needs are met.
  • Resolve complex client problems or disputes in a professional manner.
  • Provide back-up for the client operations team members as needed during busy periods such as year-end and tax season to ensure all requests are completed in a timely manner.
  • Coach and support team members to help them meet departmental goals.
  • Generate monthly and quarterly departmental reports to assess KPI compliance and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Ultimately responsible for all departmental outcomes and evaluations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university or an equivalent blend of direct experience.
  • 5+ years of direct experience within the financial services industry. Prior RIA experience is strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience managing direct reports with a proven track record of effectively maintaining team engagement while driving results.
  • Strong technical knowledge of key custodial processes such as money movement, new client onboarding, and account maintenance. Direct experience with Fidelity Wealthscape preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strategic thinker who can take initiative and work independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and champion an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Highly proficient with all Microsoft Office and Adobe products.
