Thermal Ceramics Division: designs, manufactures, and installs thermal insulation products that reduce energy consumption and emissions in high-temperature processing applications, serving industrial and commercial markets.

Responsibilities

• Report on manufacturing & operational performance, including capacity utilisation, working capital, costs, quality, logistics, and order fulfilment.
• Evaluate and implement re-engineering, contract manufacturing, and outsourcing initiatives for strategic and tactical benefits.
• Organise and execute programmes to enhance customer satisfaction regarding quality, delivery, and service.
• Build partnerships with suppliers for effective supply chain and procurement performance.
• Support and guide Sales and Operations planning across all entities to improve on-time delivery and optimize inventory.
• Review and approve capital expenditure projects, including greenfield, expansion, modernization, and cost reduction initiatives, aligned with regional strategy.
• Review operations strategies and budgets for clusters and sites during planning.
• Implement systems for on-time, cost-effective project execution and manage key project deliveries.
• Manage the Region’s EHS programme to meet improvement goals.
• Identify opportunities for competitive advantage through equipment, processes, or acquisitions.
• Coach operations team members to improve performance and develop talent.
• Collaborate with the Regional EHS leader to achieve ESG goals.

Qualifications

• MBA or postgraduate degree in business management, ideally with Mechanical or Process Engineering background.
• Experience as Operations Director or similar leadership role.
• Leadership in operations within a related industry, preferably similar to Morgan's.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects and process improvements.
• Commercially-minded with strong business finance understanding.
• Extensive experience in Asia, with regional living and working preferred.
• Experience in decentralized business models with credible leadership.
• Successful implementation of operational improvement programmes demonstrating productivity gains.
• Proficiency in operational tools like Six Sigma, 5S, VSM, etc.
