About The Role

The Director of Client Development will be focused on driving new client growth for our professional speaker development programs. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast growing, entrepreneurial environment, and build relationships with high impact people. When doing this effectively, your impact will be two-fold. First, is to help people build and expand a successful speaking business. Second, is to serve and amplify thousands of voices with infinite influence by putting talented people with a powerful message in position to make a greater impact on the world.

  • The position will report directly to Bob Marsh who is our Chief Revenue Officer, an accomplished professional speaker, seasoned high-growth entrepreneur, and a recognized expert in driving sales performance.
  • In this role you will be on the front lines of building relationships with active and aspiring professional speakers to understand their goals and challenges, and educate them on how ImpactEleven can help them achieve their goals, and make a bigger impact.
  • As a growing business, you will be part of a tight-knit team who is always innovating and testing new ideas to increase revenue, better support our clients, and create systems to support scalable growth.

ImpactEleven is headquartered in Bingham Farms, Michigan, though this position can be fully remote for the right candidate if they do not live in metro-Detroit.

Areas of Focus

New Client Pursuit: 60% of the time

  • Directly prospect to professional speakers to educate them about ImpactEleven.
  • Run informative and educational discovery meetings that allow you to learn about the goals and needs of the client, ensure they are a good fit for our services, and then map their goals to how ImpactEleven can help.
  • Convert those discovery calls into winning new customers by helping them see the path to how we can make them more successful.
  • Deliver personalized proposals, and provide timely and reliable follow-up so no sales opportunity ever falls through the cracks.
  • Be active on social media to share our thought leadership content and generate leads.
  • Rapidly respond to inbound leads generated from company led marketing campaigns.

Upselling & Renew Existing Clients: 20% of the time

  • In coordination with our membership team, ensure clients are receiving value from their experience and then converting them to renew on a consistent basis
  • Bring relevant new product offerings and capabilities to our existing clients.
  • Seek referrals from existing clients.

General Sales Operations and Support: 20% of the time

  • Consistently track sales data in our CRM System (HubSpot).
  • Participate in weekly sessions to discuss progress to goal, and new sales initiatives.
  • When required, take the lead on creating new sales material to support the constant evolution and improvement of our sales process.
  • Support anyone on our team when necessary.
