Job summary

Merlin Labs, headquartered in Boston, seeks a leader to own the process backbone supporting certification across multiple programs. You will lead a team of engineers responsible for configuration management, development assurance, process assurance, and software quality reporting to the VP of Airworthiness & Certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 12+ years in aerospace.
• Proven experience in configuration management, process assurance, and development assurance.
• Leading multi-disciplinary teams with successful internal or external audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers across CM, development assurance, process assurance, and software quality.
• Own configuration management and drive continuous improvement of processes.
• Standardize core processes with engineering leadership and ensure policy compliance.
• Establish a compliance auditing program for certification of autonomous systems.
• Interface with certification authorities and government QA representatives with evidence of compliance.
• Drive root-cause and corrective action activities to close audit findings.
• Report process health and roadmaps to the VP of Airworthiness & Certification.
