Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking a Director of Celebrations at our Allen, TX community. You will develop and lead a vibrant lifestyle program that promotes health, wellness, engagement, and growth for residents across all service levels.

This on-site role requires strong leadership and a passion for enriching senior living experiences. The position leads a team of Activities Coordinators, manages the Celebrations budget, and collaborates with external partners to create meaningful programs

Qualifications

• Three to five years of lifestyle programming or resident services experience.
• At least two years of supervisory/management experience.
• Strong leadership, organizational and team-building skills.
• Wellness certificate is a plus (ICAA Leadership in Wellness).
• Ability to plan and execute diverse programming for varied resident interests.
• Excellent communication with residents, staff, and partners.
• Creative, resourceful, resident-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and facilitate lifestyle programs for residents.
• Organize holiday celebrations and community events.
• Publish monthly activity calendar and community newsletter.
• Maintain partnerships with external organizations.
• Lead Activities Coordinators and supervise daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with regulations for senior living programs.
• Monitor participation and feedback to improve programming.
• Manage Celebrations department budget.
• Oversee community library and resident information displays.
• Represent the community in meetings and presentations.
