Position: Director of Case Management - Geisinger Behavioral Health Center

We seek a Director of Case Management for Geisinger Behavioral Health Center in Danville, PA.

In partnership with Geisinger Health, Acadia Healthcare is establishing a state-of-the-art, 96-bed behavioral health hospital in Danville, PA, opening Summer 2025. The facility will serve pediatric and adult patients with inpatient treatment, intensive outpatient programs, and ECT services, and will function as a teaching hospital for Geisinger’s College of Health Sciences. It aims to meet the regional need for accessible, high-quality psychiatric care, expanding capacity for diverse mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

What would you do in this role?

Monitor service utilization and optimize reimbursements, ensuring patients' provider benefits are maximized.

Essential Functions
  • Provide consultation on admissions and patient length of stay to payers.
  • Secure and maintain insurance authorizations for inpatient treatment.
  • Ensure utilization programs comply with regulations and policies.
  • Review clinical documentation for denied stays to ensure adequacy.
  • Manage staff including hiring, training, performance reviews, and communication for effective department operation.
Other Functions
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

Licenses/Certifications

  • CPR, de-escalation, and restraint certification required (training provided upon hire).
  • First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
