Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in career advising and developing professional development programming.
• Experience building partnerships with employers and alumni.
• Ability to plan, implement, and assess complex events and experiential learning programs.
• Experience using career technologies to assess outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide career advising and professional development programming for design Students and graduates.
• Lead career education, employer engagement initiatives, and signature events (Career Week, career fairs, portfolio reviews).
• Manage experiential learning opportunities (externships, firm treks) and broaden access to opportunities.
• Develop and sustain donor-funded professional development and experiential learning programs.
• Collaborate with UVA Career Center and Advancement for employer relations and alumni engagement.
• Ensure financial sustainability and manage budgets for programs and events.
• Analyze labor market trends to guide student career readiness and outcomes.
• Promote career resources and events through campus channels and career systems.
