Job summary

The Mandel Jewish Community Center in Beachwood, Ohio seeks a Director of Camp Wise to lead Camp Wise’s vision, culture, enrollment growth, safety, and operations. The Director will work with Mandel JCC senior leadership and committees during the summer season in Chardon and year-round from Beachwood.

This role requires recruiting and developing leadership staff, managing budgets, coordinating with donors, and serving as the year-round ambassador for Camp Wise within the Jewish community.

Qualifications

• Experience leading overnight camping or nonprofit leadership.
• Experience building teams and managing complex operations.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to drive vision, strategy, and organizational growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead long-term vision, strategy, culture, and growth of Camp Wise.
• Oversee operations, safety, and program integration of facilities into seasonal programming.
• Recruit, supervise, develop, and inspire leadership staff; strengthen staff recruitment and retention.
• Partner with Mandel JCC philanthropy team and donor engagement efforts.
