Herzl Camp seeks a Director of Programming to lead the design, development, and delivery of its summer programming. Based in Minneapolis, MN, with summer residence at camp in Webster, WI, this role blends creative vision with hands-on execution to create camp-wide experiences that engage campers and staff alike.

You will oversee specialty areas, coordinate with the year-round team, and recruit and develop specialty staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in residential camping or related youth work.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience designing and running group programming for children and teens.
• Experience supervising and evaluating staff in specialized programs.

Responsabilités

• Design engaging, high-quality summer programs reflecting camper interests.
• Create standards and curriculum for each specialty area and evaluate them.
• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring summer staff.
• Recruit and manage relationships with outside consultants and vendors.
• Oversee camp-wide events and logistics, and communicate vision to staff.
• Provide hands-on supervision and evaluation of specialty-area staff.
• Partner with leadership on daily operational decisions and staff training.
