Job summary

Valley of the Sun JCC in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a Director of Camp Services to provide visionary leadership for all camp experiences, including summer and specialty camps. You will oversee operations, staffing, budgeting, risk management, marketing, enrollment, and community partnerships.

The role emphasizes safety, inclusion, and Jewish values while driving program innovation and customer experience across departments. Strong leadership and collaborative skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• Minimum five years of leadership experience in camp administration, youth development, or similar.
• Minimum three years supervising professional and seasonal staff.
• Experience managing budgets and achieving financial goals.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of summer, seasonal, and specialty camp operations.
• Oversee safety, risk management, and quality of camp programs.
• Develop staff orientation and ongoing professional development.
• Collaborate with HR on hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
• Lead marketing enrollment strategies and community partnerships.
• Maintain compliance with state licensing and ACA standards.
• Prepare budgets, enrollment forecasts, and operational analyses.
