Qualifications

  • Proven success in winning new business in MSP, ICT, or systems integrator environments.
  • Strong background in maritime industry, especially merchant shipping, offshore support vessels, or inland marine sectors.
  • Experience engaging with C-level stakeholders using a consultative sales approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new territories or markets from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and secure new maritime sector clients across North and South America.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans to win new business and recurring revenue.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and global stakeholders to support complex sales pursuits.
  • Conduct in-person meetings with clients across the region to establish relationships and close deals.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations, prepare proposals, and negotiate commercial agreements.
  • Provide market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive feedback to inform product and strategy enhancements.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Business Development - Maritime to lead strategic growth initiatives within the maritime sector across the Americas. This senior, hunter-focused role offers an exciting opportunity to expand our market presence by acquiring new customers and building long-lasting relationships. As a key driver of revenue growth, you will leverage your expertise in maritime industries and consultative sales techniques to identify opportunities, engage stakeholders, and close high-value deals. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Strong background in the maritime industry preferred, particularly with merchant shipping, offshore support vessels, or inland marine sectors.
  • Experience engaging with C-level stakeholders using a consultative sales approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new territories or markets from the ground up.
  • Engineering degree preferred; MBA is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the Americas region.
  • Valid passport and driver’s license required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
