Job Description – Sales Director, Digital Health Solutions

Location: Remote / US-based | Travel Required: ~50%

A fast-growing, innovation-driven healthtech company is seeking a seasoned Sales Director to drive growth across its Digital Health Solutions portfolio. This individual will be a high-performing closer and strategic relationship-builder who thrives in a dynamic and mission-focused environment.

The Sales Director will play a key role in identifying and converting new business opportunities with clinical laboratories, hospitals, and health systems. Reporting to senior leadership, this role requires a self-motivated sales professional with deep experience selling healthcare IT or diagnostic software solutions into complex healthcare environments. Uncapped commission and a competitive base salary provide strong earning potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively generate leads, develop strategic sales plans, and build a robust pipeline of prospective clients in the diagnostics, lab, and healthcare sectors.
  • Lead full-cycle enterprise sales efforts from initial contact through contract negotiation and closure, collaborating closely with internal product, technical, and executive teams.

Client Relationship Management

  • Cultivate trusted, long-term relationships with key decision-makers including CIOs, Lab Directors, Pathology Heads, and other C-suite stakeholders. Serve as the point of escalation for your accounts to ensure satisfaction and retention.

Market & Product Expertise

  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of the digital pathology, laboratory informatics, and AI software landscape. Translate this knowledge into client-focused solutions and advisory discussions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with product managers, solution engineers, implementation teams, and marketing to ensure customer alignment, support technical discovery, and refine go-to-market messaging.

Forecasting & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline data using CRM tools. Attend regular revenue and strategy review meetings with leadership.

Strategic Initiatives

  • Represent the company at key industry conferences and events. Contribute to broader business development and strategic initiatives as a senior commercial leader.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in enterprise sales of digital health software, ideally in digital pathology, AI diagnostics, LIS/LIMS systems, or laboratory enterprise platforms
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding $1M+ annual quotas in healthcare software sales
  • Strong understanding of healthcare provider decision-making processes and procurement cycles
  • Experience with strategic account management, especially in complex clinical or lab settings
  • Comfortable selling in team-based environments, collaborating with account managers and technical subject matter experts
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationally up to 50% of the time
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees or healthcare certifications a plus
