Job Title: Director BD - Analytical Services - Northeast

CDC is proud to be partnering with a long-standing client specializing in analytical services for the biopharma industry. This US-based CRO operates multiple facilities and provides expertise across both small and large molecules.

We are seeking a driven Director of Business Development, ideally based in the Northeast (Boston preferred), to identify and secure new projects across the full range of their service offerings.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business across the full portfolio of analytical services (small and large molecule).
• Identify, engage, and convert new clients within the biopharma sector, with a focus on early to late-stage development programs.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities across the Northeast region.
• Collaborate closely with internal scientific and operational teams to ensure seamless proposal development and project delivery.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
• Deliver against quarterly and annual revenue targets, contributing to the company’s continued growth.

Requirements

• Proven track record (4+ years) in business development within the CRO/CDMO/analytical services or related biopharma sector.
• Strong network within biotech and pharmaceutical companies in the Northeast.
• Demonstrated success in identifying and securing new projects, with a hunter mindset.
• Solid understanding of drug development processes (small and large molecule).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field; advanced degree is a plus.

The base pay range for this position is $170,000.00/yr - $210,000.00/yr. CDC Global Solutions is an equal opportunities employer.
