Job summary

Children’s Rescue Fund seeks a Director of Building Maintenance to oversee maintenance, janitorial and capital improvement projects across development buildings and grounds in New York, NY. You will supervise staff, manage vendors, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate with government authorities.

The role requires strong leadership, 5+ years in facilities maintenance, and experience with building systems, repairs and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• Trade education or equivalent in facilities/building maintenance.
• Minimum five years in facilities/building maintenance.
• Two+ years of supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, janitorial and capital projects.
• Supervise and schedule maintenance and janitorial staff.
• Ensure compliance with DOB, HPD, FDNY and other authorities.
• Coordinate with vendors and procurement for bids and repairs.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules for HVAC and systems.
• Respond to emergencies and minimize disruptions to residents.
