Sciens Building Solutions is currently seeking a Director of Benefits Administration responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of benefit programs and policies. This position is responsible for ensuring the programs are effective, compliant and attractive to a diverse workforce. The successful candidate is responsible for the administration, communication and compliance of all benefit programs.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)
- Develop and administer key employee benefits such as retirement plan, medical, dental and vision plans, disability and life insurance.
- Analyze and evaluate benefit programs to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with applicable laws.
- Provide guidance regarding benefits enrollment and utilization.
- Manage day-to-day benefits administration, including billing, enrollment, and changes.
- Respond to inquiries, troubleshoot benefit issues, and resolve potential conflicts.
- Report benefits-related data and trends to senior leadership.
- Serve as advisor and point person on all benefits-related M&A matters, from pre-close due diligence through post-close integration.
- Lead the benefits integration process, from conducting side-by-side benefit analyses to seeing through the implementation of the transition recommendations.
- Partner closely with VP of People & Culture to ensure consistent strategic alignment across each acquisition.
- Work closely with the People & Culture team to create highly engaging, relevant and informative benefits communications, with an emphasis on change management to help ease the transition for acquired employees.
401(k) Management:
- Ensure plan documents are current and accurate for the plan and filed/communicated appropriately throughout the year.
- Prepare and submit data files and internal reporting for 401(k) plans’ Form 5500 filings, annual compliance testing and year-end data collection.
- Prepare and distribute accurate 401(k) compliance materials in a timely manner including but not limited to: Form 5500 filings, summary annual reports and summary plan descriptions.
- Ensure administration of company-sponsored 401(k) plans in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate data collection and provide accurate and timely responses to external audit firm for the completion of the audited financial statements included with the 401(k) plans’ annual Form 5500 filings.
- Coordinate 401(k) education meetings, in-person and virtual, with People & Culture team and broker.
- Timely and accurate submission of 401(k) plan weekly and bi-weekly contribution and loan files and off-cycle payroll contributions to recordkeeper/trustee; ensure timely and accurate funding transfers.
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
- 7 + years of experience managing benefits programs, preferably with a focus on strategic planning and analysis.
- Ability to influence, problem solve, and successfully collaborate and communicate with team members on various levels.
- Passion for putting the employee experience at the heart of all decisions and for building and continuously improving cross-functional programs and processes.
- Workday HRIS experience required.
- Ability to travel overnight as needed.
- Ability to work remote in a positive and efficient manner.
