Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Director of Automation and Engineering CoE to manage high-automation equipment projects across sites, with significant travel. The role includes leadership across multiple teams, vendor management, and delivering on time and within budget.

Required are extensive experience in automated equipment implementations, project leadership, and data-driven decision making. Travel to sites is expected as projects span multiple distribution centers.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in relevant equipment implementation.
• 5+ years of project management experience.
• 2+ years of managing engineering direct reports.
• 1+ years of financial reporting including capital projects preferred.
• Data analysis using excel, access, SQL, Power BI required.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and expert guidance to operations and solution design teams regarding automated equipment and productivity.
• Leads deployment of highly-automated material handling systems at distribution centers.
• Manages equipment vendors to ensure schedule, functionality, and quality.
• Oversees data analysis, business case creation, equipment cost estimating, and layout.
