Job summary

Akerman LLP is seeking a Director of Attorney Professional Development to design, deliver, and continuously improve programming for all attorneys firmwide, from junior associates to equity partners. The role partners with the CHRO, Practice Group Chairs, and senior leaders to shape a culture of ongoing growth and AI fluency across offices.

Qualifications

• Executive presence to engage equity partners and senior leaders
• Ability to design and deliver engaging programs for virtual and in-person audiences
• Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to build trusted relationships across a large, distributed firm
• Experience with video conferencing tools and collaboration platforms
• Travel to Akerman offices for in-person training when needed

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver professional development programming for partners, of counsel, special counsel, and consultants
• Develop executive facilitation approaches and coaching frameworks
• Coordinate with lateral partner immersion program to support new hires
• Create curricula for junior to senior associates aligned with benchmarks
• Integrate AI and practice technology into development curricula
• Develop firmwide training content and coordinate with third-party vendors
• Measure training effectiveness and report program outcomes
