Creighton University is seeking a Director of Athletic Development to acquire philanthropic support for its athletics programs. You will manage a portfolio of 150–200 donors, conduct up to 250 personal visits annually, and coordinate gift efforts across multiple sports and programs.

You will work with the development team to cultivate major gifts, steward donors, support premium seating initiatives, and help staff manage the Varsity Club and student assistants. National travel is expected.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 3+ years of donor relations experience.
• Experience with cultivating, soliciting and closing gifts.
• Experience working in customer relations is preferred.

Creighton's move to the BIG EAST Conference has opened up new opportunities to engage alumni and friends in support of Creighton Athletics and the University. The Director of Athletic Development will be responsible for acquiring philanthropic support for Creighton Athletics. Responsibilities include the cultivation and solicitation of major gifts both within Omaha and a specific region across the country. The Director will work closely with the Associate Athletic Director for Development to strategize opportunities to increase giving for Creighton Athletics. This position is organizationally a member of the Athletic Development Office which includes a strong partnership with Creighton Athletics.

Essential Functions:

• Manage a portfolio of annual and major gift donors and prospects, as defined by working with the Creighton University Office of Development, from initial identification, cultivation, proposal development, solicitation and through stewardship, developing plans and programs to maximize gift revenue for Jaybackers, capital gifts and endowment gifts. Includes managing a portfolio of approximately 150-200 prospects and donors with 250 personal visits annually.
• Assist with Athletic Development gift officers and hospitality staff to develop and execute a comprehensive cultivation and stewardship program for major and principal gift donors/prospects and high-end Jaybackers. Help development marketing and branding plan for Jaybackers and athletic development
• Assist in all premium seating efforts for cultivation and stewardship purposes, including but not limited to: men's basketball, baseball, men's and women's soccer and the College World Series
• Assist with all 16 athletic programs in solicitation of major gift prospects for their respective programs as coordinated by the athletic department and program staff.
• Coordinate the Varsity Club, including strategic priorities, implementation, and tracking.
• Coordinate day-to-day duties for student assistants assigned to the Athletic Development office.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 3+ years of demonstrated donor relations experience is required.
• Experience with cultivating, soliciting and closing gifts.
• Experience working in customer relations is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Demonstrate understanding of how Athletic Departments run in a University setting preferred and experience working with student-athletes, coaches and athletic department personnel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to speak in a public setting.
• Familiarity with Advance, Reeher or comparable fund-raising database.
• Familiarity with Archtics, Advantage, Paciolin or comparable ticketing and donor database.
• Ability to think strategically and quickly summarize complex and detailed information.
• Ability to travel nationally for athletics donor events including during week nights and over weekends.
• Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA and BIG EAST Conference guidelines, policies, rules and regulations with the ability to interpret,
