POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Asset Management & Maintenance will serve to provide strategic leadership, management development, and continuous improvement of activities to ensure the proper maintenance and utilization of company assets, inclusive of equipment and facilities. The Director of Asset Management & Maintenance will have direct responsibility to ensure maintenance programs are properly implemented and utilized, which will drive operational efficiency and ensure maximum value of company assets. In addition, this role will have the primary responsibility of leading the activities of the maintenance team and ensuring proper utilization of company assets across the organization. This role will coordinate with other groups to ensure that company objectives are achieved regarding the strategic plan, operational efficiency, operational and capital budgets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement strategies and business processes to ensure asset utilization and asset life cycle management supports business growth and customer needs, both external and internal
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve return on investment (ROI) for company assets and develop strategic initiatives and processes to reduce overall risk factors
  • Develop efficient plans for completing preventive maintenance and ongoing maintenance repairs of company property, equipment, and assets
  • Ensure the adherence to health and safety policies and practices for maintenance team
  • Oversee the functions and responsibilities of the maintenance team and provide information to multiple levels of leadership within the organization
  • Manage and oversee the physical assets of the organization, including buildings, equipment, and parts inventory by planning, organizing, and directing activities of the organization
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining strategic asset management plans and quality assurance protocols that reduce overall maintenance costs and company fleet expenses
  • Support the leadership team, finance team, and company stakeholders in adhering to the organizational strategic plan and financial objectives
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations regarding purchasing assets and potential acquired assets
  • Manage the procurement and purchasing process of assets and the disposition and disposal of assets based on company objectives and strategic initiatives determined by the company leadership and stakeholders
  • Assists in developing and executing the long-term business strategies and the organization’s achievement of goals on maintenance, reliability, and asset management
  • Coordinates with other department to provide accurate forecast, trend analysis, and recommendations for process improvements
  • Foster an environment that is committed to the SES culture of safety, ethical practices, customer focus and continuous improvement

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required

  • Possess communication and influencing skills with the ability to resolve issues, build consensus among groups
  • Demonstrated knowledge of advanced financial metrics and analytical functions
  • Experience implementing a maintenance program and asset management strategies using data analysis and performance metrics
  • Ability to diagnose problems quickly, foresee potential issues, and enact solutions
  • Background in developing and managing maintenance budgets (both capital and operational), including vendor management and service contracts.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Industry Leadership
  • Ability to provide situational leadership and collaboration to:
  • Develop team members into strong performers at all levels of the organization
  • Build and maintain strong peer relationships
  • Garner trust from others and the ability to communicate the long-term vision

JOB DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Frequent walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting and moving of equipment up to 25 lbs (adjust as necessary).
  • Ability to work in industrial environments, including exposure to loud noise, heavy machinery, and potential environmental hazards.
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines, analyze operational challenges, and make high-stakes decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments
  • Travel required, including overnight stays as needed
