Job summary

Harnham is seeking a Director of Analytics to shape and lead the analytics strategy across internal and customer-facing data products. The role blends software/data engineering heritage with executive-level architecture decisions and product thinking.

You will guide analytics engineering, reporting, and client analytics teams, partner with Product, AI, and Leadership, and drive modern analytics architecture and AI-powered insights across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or Analytics Engineering.
• 5+ years leading analytics, analytics engineering, or data engineering teams.
• Strong experience owning analytics strategy and delivery in SaaS or B2B environments.
• Proven success building and scaling analytics teams and data products.

We're partnering with a rapidly growing, technology-driven organization to hire a Director of Analytics who will lead analytics strategy, analytics engineering, and customer-facing data products.

This is not a traditional BI leadership role.

We're looking for an engineering-minded analytics leader who has grown from a background in software engineering, data engineering, or analytics engineering and still enjoys being close to architecture, data modeling, platform strategy, and technical decision-making.

You'll lead a talented team while helping shape the future of the company's analytics, reporting, AI, and customer-facing data product strategy.

What We're Looking For

Required Background

• 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or Analytics Engineering
• 5+ years leading analytics, analytics engineering, or data engineering teams
• Strong experience owning analytics strategy and delivery in SaaS or B2B environments
• Proven success building and scaling analytics teams and data products

Technical Requirements

• Strong expertise with Snowflake architecture, optimization, governance, and data modeling
• Hands‑on knowledge of Looker, including semantic layers, metric governance, LookML, and self‑service analytics
• Deep SQL expertise and strong understanding of modern analytics engineering principles
• Experience with dimensional modeling, semantic modeling, dbt, and enterprise data architecture
• Ability to lead technical discussions with engineers, architects, and executive stakeholders

Preferred Experience

• Customer‑facing analytics products, embedded analytics, or external reporting platforms
• AI‑powered analytics, conversational analytics, LLMs, or GenAI initiatives
• Modern cloud data ecosystems including Snowflake, dbt, and cloud‑native analytics platforms
• Experience supporting Product, Revenue, Customer Success, and Executive stakeholders
