Job summary

Aspire General Insurance Services seeks a Director of Analytics to lead our analytics function and shape the future of our business through data-driven decisions across underwriting, pricing, claims, distribution, and customer experience.

This strategic, hands-on leader will partner with executive leadership to develop analytical solutions, build capabilities, and drive measurable impact while mentoring a high-performing team of data scientists and analysts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field and 10+ years analytics experience.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role with cross-functional impact.
  • Experience in auto insurance or regulated industries preferred.
  • Proven track record delivering data-driven business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of the analytics strategy across key business areas.
  • Guide predictive modeling, ML, and advanced analytics initiatives.
  • Partner with IT, actuarial, finance, and marketing to drive initiatives.
  • Mentor and grow a high-performing team of data scientists and analysts.

Aspire General Insurance is seeking an experienced Director of Analytics to lead our analytics function and help shape the future of our business through data-driven decision making. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic, hands‑on leader who can blend advanced analytics expertise with business acumen to drive measurable impact across underwriting, pricing, claims, distribution, and customer experience.

As a key leader within the organization, you will partner closely with executive leadership to develop analytical solutions that strengthen our competitive advantage, improve performance, and support long-term growth.

Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute Aspire's analytics strategy to support key business objectives.
  • Build intellectual property and analytical capabilities that create a sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, underwriting, actuarial, claims, product, and marketing teams.
  • Partner with Finance to evaluate ROI and measure the business impact of strategic initiatives.
Advanced Analytics & Data Science
  • Lead the development and implementation of predictive analytics, machine learning models, and advanced statistical solutions.
  • Drive initiatives related to pricing, underwriting, claims optimization, fraud detection, customer retention, and distribution analytics.
  • Ensure model governance, transparency, compliance, and regulatory alignment.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Data Scientists and Analysts.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Balance strategic leadership with hands‑on technical involvement as a player‑coach.
Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Partner with IT and Data Engineering teams to improve data accessibility, quality, and governance.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators through dashboards and reporting.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and business insights to executive leadership.
  • Identify emerging technologies, tools, and external data sources to enhance business performance.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 10+ years of analytics experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Prior auto insurance industry experience required.
  • Proven success leading analytics teams and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of insurance regulations, rating compliance, and model governance.
Technical Expertise
  • Advanced experience with predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis.
  • Strong command of Python, SQL, R, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Deep understanding of auto insurance data, including underwriting, claims, pricing, and distribution analytics.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Databricks is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate complex analytics into business-focused recommendations.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Proven ability to influence decision‑making at all levels of an organization.
